Your new job

As a subscriber engineer/system administrator at the Technical Office, you will be part of the Water and Wastewater Department, which is responsible for delivering clean and good drinking water and managing wastewater sustainably.

The operation is fee-financed and works to maintain water and wastewater facilities, expand the pipeline network, and secure water supply for the entire Jönköping Municipality.

You will belong to the Water Customer Unit, an engaged group of 14 colleagues working with everything from water meters and customer service to subscriber cases and digital systems. In the role of subscriber engineer/system administrator, you will have overall responsibility for our subscriber processes and work with processing and development in the area. You will also be the system administrator for the customer system EDP Future, where you, with technical support from the supplier, will be responsible for administration and development of the system and ensure high data quality.

Your tasks

• Process cases related to water subscriptions and connections
• Manage the customer system EDP Future in collaboration with technical support
• Handle customer service cases and answer calls
• Investigate and develop technical solutions regarding connection points, meter placements, and pipeline layouts
• Collaborate with other parts of the municipality, such as planning and development, building permits, operations, and project activities
• Provide technical advice to property owners, contractors, and colleagues
• Support the water meter workshop with administrative issues

Your qualifications

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and has a natural ability to build and maintain good customer relationships. The role involves contacts both internally and externally, which requires good collaboration skills. You are solution-oriented and curious, with a desire to develop and learn new things. Furthermore, you work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a quality-conscious approach.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Water/Wastewater technology, civil engineering, environmental technology, construction, or another relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer
• Good system skills and experience working in digital operational systems
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driver's license (B)

Meritorious

• Experience working as a subscriber engineer
• Experience with EDP Future and Power BI
• Experience in system administration
• Practical experience in water, wastewater, or construction

The recruitment refers to a permanent position at 100% with a start date according to agreement.
